"This project was intended as a map sign what would physically sit at the “You are here” location. The map shows the location around the Sunken Garden and the Historic Campus at William & Mary. It uses the official university colors from the university style guide. It uses inset building outlines to help each building stand out without the need for a high contrast outline. The QR code on the map links to the Historic Campus webpage on the William & Mary website, explaining the history of the college and its oldest buildings. The type on the map emphasizes that buildings that are well known and open to the public and diminishes building that are less likely to be on interest to a visitor. This map labels the buildings with the names they had in 2020; Some have since been changed."
